Dr Diana established her own dental practice upon obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Dentistry (University CES, Colombia) in 2000. As the dental practice took on a successful path, Dr Diana continued her professional development obtaining Diplomas on Restorations over Implants and Advanced Oral Surgery.
Dr Diana’s passion for greater understanding and exploring of periodontal diseases and oral surgeries inspired her to achieve specialisation in Periodontics and Osseous Integration (Universidad Cooperativa, Colombia) and Implantology Oral Rehabilitation (New York University, USA) in 2007, with more than 1,800 implants successfully placed as of today. Dr Diana’s thorough knowledge and expertise in Periodontology was quickly recognized by Universidad Cooperativa in Colombia where she was invited to join their team of Lecturers in 2007.
Dr Diana has also traveled around the world attending conferences, workshops and symposiums to gain up-to-date knowledge on the latest developments, innovations and technology in the dentistry field. These countries include Brasil, Italy, India, USA, Spain and Argentina among others.
But Dr Diana’s professional development has not stopped there. In 2012 Dr Diana obtained a Master Degree in Health Leadership and Management (University of Wollongong, Australia) and completed an Eight-Week Internship at the Royal Hospital of Melbourne in 2014.
Dr Diana is an active member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry (ASID), the Australasian Osseo-integration Society (AOS), the International Congress of Oral Implantologist (ICOI) and the Australian Dental Sleep Medicine Group (ADSMG).
Dr Diana was also the representative for Colombia of the Brasilian Institution, Turma do Bem, coordinating and providing volunteer preventive and restorative dental care to children up to 17 years old from financially disadvantaged families throughout the entire Country. Dr Diana is currently an active Reserve Officer of the Colombian Government Army since 2007 providing volunteer dental care to communities living in remote areas of the Country.

Dr Frank Quirk is a Sydney University Graduated general dentist with experience in all fields of Dentistry practicing in the UK and Hong Kong. He has interests in Children Orthodontics, Cosmetic Dentistry and has studied Occlusion in the USA. For 20 years he ran a successful practice on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. His experience allows him to give patients the best advise and options for their dental care. At the same time he is a lovely and caring doctor who everyone likes.
Nada Makki-Karnib

Nada Makki-Karnib is the principal speech pathologist at Q Speech & Learning Clinic with 20 years of combined experience as a hospital scientist and in private practice. She enjoys working with people of all ages in the treatment of communication and feeding disorders, with a particular interest and expertise in Oromyofunctional Disorders. As co-founders of the Dentofacial Institute and international speakers, Dr Elina Castro Blairs and Nada dedicate most of their professional time to promoting airway and sleep awareness and the impact of these on Dentofacial growth and development, particularly focusing on early interceptive facial orthopaedics. Nada’s collaboration with dental professionals and multidisciplinary approach in the care of her patients seeks to address the root cause of many of the communication and feeding difficulties children present with.
Dr Tina Raj
Dr Tina Raj completed her Bachelor of Science degree with First Class Honours and a Doctor of Philosophy, specialising in Molecular Biology and Cardio-vascular disease, from Monash University. She then decided on a career change, so moved interstate to successfully complete her postgraduate Doctorate degree in Dentistry with First Class Honours, from the University of Sydney. In 2009, she returned to her hometown of Melbourne, to embark on her dental career.
Tina believes in respecting and caring for her patients, which is complimented by her compassionate nature and strong drive in pursuing clinical excellence. Although she enjoys many facets of dentistry, Tina mostly enjoys getting to know her patients. To her, the heart of total patient care is taking a personalised approach and creating a genuine connection, ensuring her patients get the highest quality professional dental care and attention to detail that they truly deserve.
Tina loves that she can create confident smiles in her patients and takes the utmost pride and satisfaction in her work. Tina’s philosophy is that “exceptional Dentistry is about providing the perfect balance between Art and Science”. She strives for perfection in all that she does.
Tina has over 12 years of clinical dental experience and has exceptional proficiency in dental implants, extractions, and root canal therapy. She also has a deep passion for all things related to cosmetic dentistry, including laser dentistry, cosmetic injectables and Invisalign.
She also has her own general anaesthetic team, allowing her the opportunity to provide patients with the option of having comprehensive dental treatment whilst under general anaesthesia. This allows her to perform an array of complex procedures such as oral surgery (wisdom teeth extractions), extensive cosmetic dentistry, full mouth rehabilitations and implant dentistry all in the comfort of her own dental surgery for additional convenience and ease for her patients. Tina also keeps up to date with modern technology and how to apply these advances in dentistry in her daily practice, to fully benefit her patients.
Tina has a great respect for her profession and spends countless hours studying, pursing professional development, and undertaking education courses. She is currently nearing the completion of her Masters in Laser Dentistry. In recognition of her impressive academic achievements, Tina holds the title of “Prosector”, a title which was awarded for winning the prestigious University of Sydney John Irvine Hunter Anatomy prize for her outstanding Dissection of the human head, neck and tracing of the cranial nerves of the skull, which to date, is still on display at the University of Sydney Anatomy Museum for her fellow students and colleagues to study and learn from. Tina has also been awarded an International Fellowship in the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Academy, in recognition of her outstanding leadership and contributions to Dentistry.
Tina believes that work-life balance is the key to success. In her free time, she takes part in a diverse range of activities to keep fit and healthy, both in mind and in body. She loves spending quality time with her Cavoodle Theodore, socialising with her nearest and dearest, restaurant hopping, expanding her culinary skills, painting and reading.
Alicia Briffa
Oral Facial Myologist
Bachelor of Oral Health and Orofacial Myology
Alicia Graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Oral Health- Dental Hygienist. As a dental hygienist, I saw so many patients suffering from various orofacial myofunctional disorders such as teeth clenching and grinding, jaw pain, headaches, thumb sucking and sleep issues and more. That is when I decided to find a natural and holistic solution to their problems.
I then completed further studies to become an Orofacial Myologist, Buteyko Breathing practitioner and has a Graduate Diploma in Dental Sleep Medicine.
Alicia is the owner of My Myo Matters formally known as Myofunctional Therapy Matters for Orofacial Myology, she works with 3-year-olds and up by treating not just the symptoms but also the cause.
By collaborating with patients, parents and other healthcare professionals, we can really work together to get the best possible outcomes for our patients.
